This Coaching & Service Agreement sets out the terms of the coaching relationship between athletes, coaches and Applied Science when using the Platform. It supplements, and is governed by, the Terms and Conditions.
Applied Science provides a digital platform that connects athletes with coaches and delivers personalised training programmes, session logging, supplement protocols, AI-assisted session review and performance monitoring. Applied Science facilitates the service and provides the technology; the direct coaching relationship is between the athlete and their coach.
Coaches are independent professionals. They are not employees of Applied Science. Coaches are responsible for the programme content, training advice and communication they provide to athletes. Applied Science is not a party to any specific coaching arrangement beyond providing the Platform and processing payments, including the 5% platform service fee.
Coaches agree to: design programmes appropriate to each athlete’s goals, history and health status; review and validate all AI-generated feedback before communicating it to athletes; respond to athletes in a timely manner; maintain professional competence and act within the limits of their expertise; comply with all applicable laws, including anti-doping regulations; and not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
Athletes agree to: provide accurate information about their health, history and goals; complete sessions and log them honestly; report any pain, injury or adverse response promptly; follow programmes as prescribed and not exceed prescribed loads without coach approval; and consult a medical professional before starting or changing any training or supplementation programme.
Training programmes are created by coaches for assigned athletes. Programmes remain accessible to the assigned athlete for the duration of their active subscription. Applied Science will not modify or delete an athlete’s assigned programme without the coach’s instruction, except where required for legal compliance or account closure.
Communication between athletes and coaches takes place through the Platform. Coaches are not guaranteed to be available at all times; response times depend on the plan and the agreed arrangement. AI-assisted session review is available to supplement, not replace, the coach’s judgement.
The Platform uses artificial intelligence to analyse session logs and generate technical feedback. This feedback may contain errors and is not professional coaching or medical advice. Coaches must review AI feedback before relying on it. Applied Science accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of AI-generated content, which is provided "as is".
Supplement protocols are recommendations provided by coaches for informational purposes only. Athletes are responsible for verifying the safety, legality and suitability of any supplement, including compliance with the anti-doping rules of their sport. Applied Science accepts no liability for adverse reactions or failed drug tests.
Athletes pay membership fees set by their coach. Applied Science retains a 5% platform service fee from each payment; the remainder is transferred to the coach. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
This agreement applies for as long as you use the Platform. Either party may end the coaching relationship by cancelling the subscription, with access continuing until the end of the paid period. Applied Science may suspend access for non-payment or breach of the Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Applied Science is not liable for the coaching content, advice or outcomes provided by coaches, nor for any injury or adverse outcome arising from following a programme. Our aggregate liability is limited as set out in the Terms and Conditions.
This agreement is governed by the laws of Malta. Disputes are resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution clause in the Terms and Conditions, without affecting your mandatory consumer rights.
