This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms on which athlete memberships and coach subscriptions can be cancelled or refunded on the Applied Science platform.
All payments on the Platform are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Fees are stated in the currency displayed at checkout.
Athlete memberships are billed on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at checkout and set up by your coach. (a) Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. (b) EU consumer right of withdrawal: Under EU consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. Where you have not yet started using the service, you may request a full refund within 14 days. Where you request the service to begin during the 14-day period (by accessing the Platform and your training programme), you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. (c) Refunds after 14 days: Fees paid are otherwise non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or where a statutory right applies. (d) Pro-rata refunds: We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
Coach subscriptions are billed annually according to your selected plan: Starter (£150/year, up to 10 athletes), Pro (£200/year, up to 20 athletes plus extra services), or Elite (£350/year, unlimited athletes plus premium services). Annual coach subscriptions are non-refundable after the 14-day withdrawal period, except where required by law. You may cancel renewal at any time; access continues until the end of the paid annual term.
Applied Science charges a 5% platform service fee on every athlete membership payment, retained from the amount paid by the athlete. This fee is non-refundable except where a refund is issued for the underlying payment. On a refund, the fee is returned proportionally to the extent the underlying payment is refunded.
To cancel a subscription, use the billing settings within the Platform or contact us through the Contact page. Cancellation requests are processed promptly and confirmed by email.
If a payment fails, access to the Platform may be suspended until the payment is resolved. We will notify you before suspending access and provide a reasonable period to update your payment method.
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks raised without first contacting us may result in account suspension. Where a chargeback is raised in error, we will work with you and your bank to resolve it.
Nothing in this policy affects any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable law, which cannot be excluded by contract.
